On the afternoon of June 10, Prof. Lü Yupeng, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shandong University, led a delegation of eight members to Sant Heavy Industry for an investigative visit aimed at discussing comprehensive strategic cooperation in industry-academia-research collaboration. The delegation was accompanied throughout the visit by Jia Xuena, Deputy County Magistrate of the county government, Ma Qingying, Chairman of the Board of the company, and heads of relevant departments.
During the discussions, Shandong University gained insights into Sant Heavy Industry's overall industrial layout, distinctive sector characteristics, and talent requirements. Both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges to further advance university-enterprise collaboration.
The symposium was chaired by Deputy County Magistrate Jia Xuena. Chairman Ma Qingying presented the company's long-term development plan, outlining R&D directions and strategic approaches while exploring new frontiers and potential markets in mining machinery. Professors from Shandong University proposed specialized development pathways from technological and innovation-driven perspectives, contributing unique insights and entry points. Resident enterprise-appointed professors Wu Lili, Du Chunshui, and Yang Fengling pledged to actively support corporate talent development and technological innovation through pragmatic and innovative approaches, fully committing to Sant Heavy Industry's growth.
Deputy Magistrate Jia emphasized that the collaboration should begin with industry-academia-research integration, aiming to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with Shandong University to jointly advance talent cultivation and scientific innovation. Chairman Ma briefed attendees on the company's history, highlighting its current phase of technological upgrading and product transformation. He stressed that deepening collaboration with Shandong University holds critical significance for enhancing corporate competitiveness and industrial progress. Prof. Lü Yupeng acknowledged the company's proactive role in technological innovation and expressed aspirations to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation through targeted collaboration models. Key objectives include implementing practical industry-academia-research initiatives, attracting and nurturing high-caliber talent, and accelerating the commercialization of research outcomes for mutual benefit.
The delegation also toured the company's honor wall, exhibition hall, blanking workshop, and precision machining facilities during the visit.
Currently, the "Teaching Practice Base" and "R&D Experimental Base" established by Shandong University at Sant Heavy Industry are being actively implemented and advanced, while the "Postdoctoral Innovation Workstation" is in the planning phase. The comprehensive strategic collaboration between Shandong University and Sant Heavy Industry will pioneer a new chapter in the industrial economic development of Yuncheng County, serving as a model with its proactive leadership and exemplary impact.
